The Salone del Mobile Milano is an annual design festival held in Milan, Italy. Tokyobussanten has participated every year, introducing many Japanese designs to the world.

The Salone del Mobile Milano is an annual design festival held in Milan, Italy. Tokyobussanten has participated every year, showcasing many Japanese designs to the global audience.

10 Japanese designers in koloro-desk

Ten designers freely used and exhibited the koloro-desk, which features four openable windows, applying their creative ideas to the piece.

The Art of KABUKI
I was responsible for the visual design of the "10 Japanese Designers in Koloro Desk" exhibition held at Salone del Mobile Milano, the world’s largest furniture fair in Milan, Italy. The exhibition showcased Kabuki, a representative of Japanese culture, to the world.
Certified as part of Cool Japan, costumes used in the Kabuki play Sukeroku were displayed at the Salone del Mobile.

Tokyo Design Week at Shimokitazawa
Tokyobussanten @ Shimokitazawa:
We curated a market-themed event in the station-front space of Shimokitazawa, showcasing creative works such as miscellaneous goods, furniture, and tableware by various designers.

A one-of-a-kind, high-end select shop for children's clothing.

Ritz-Carlton Café & Deli
A cocktail party was held at the Ritz-Carlton Café & Deli, located within Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi.
The café terrace featured 30 guest chairs, all of which were Good Design Award winners.

Tokyo Midtown – Insta Walls by Henki Leon
Colorful "Insta Walls" were installed at four locations throughout Tokyo Midtown. Each wall was hand-painted with cheerful motifs like umbrellas and butterflies.
These heartwarming graphics were created by Henki Leon, a designer from Airside Japan. His vibrant artwork brought smiles to the faces of visitors to Tokyo Midtown.

Yozora-ha Eigasai (Night Sky Film Festival)
As part of TOKYO DESIGN WEEK, a rooftop cinema event was held at CLASKA in Gakugei-daigaku.
Focusing on film title design, three carefully selected films were screened over three nights, curated by Kozo Akamatsu and Tetsuya Chihara (Lemonlife).

 

au × ALESSI
KDDI’s "iida" brand collaborated with Italian design brand ALESSI to produce concept mobile devices.
Designs were created by renowned designers Marcel Wanders, Stefano Giovannoni, and Patricia Urquiola.

au × Yayoi Kusama
KDDI’s "iida" brand collaborated with renowned avant-garde artist Yayoi Kusama to create limited-edition mobile phones as works of art.

The “Dots Obsession” and “My Dog RinRin” models (100 units each) are priced at ¥1,000,000, while the “Handbag to Space” model (1,000 units) is priced at ¥100,000.

Each device features a unique serial number.

HYPER MARKET
Located in Harajuku, HYPER MARKET is a concept shop proposing mobile accessories tailored to diverse lifestyles, inspired by the idea of a “near-future market.”

The project was produced under the direction of Glyph., with graphic design by Mina Tabei, and spatial design led by Makoto Tanijiri’s SUPPOSE DESIGN OFFICE, known for their work on STOUDIOUS stores.

EDIFICE / JOURNAL STANDARD
EDIFICE is a select shop targeting style-conscious men interested in all aspects of lifestyle, offering everything from trendy daily casualwear to dresswear.
JOURNAL STANDARD provides a unique mix of classic basics and cutting-edge brands, delivering a global range of products and information beyond traditional categories.
We produced the complete shop design and visual merchandising (VMD) for these leading select shops that continually set the trends.

EDWIN × Kunio Kato
Kunio Kato, the Academy Award-winning animator for the short film “Mt. Head”, created an original short animation titled “R” inspired by EDWIN’s iconic 503 jeans.

The animation is bundled as a DVD with the purchase of EDWIN 503 jeans.
